Leveraging off the significant investment in sentiment analytics to date by Cornell University, co-founders Larry Levy and Claire Cardie established Jodange in early 2007. The goal was to develop business applications that drive tangible value by allowing knowledge workers to better understand who is influencing their customers, competitors and marketplace in an environment where information continues to originate from an exploding number of information sources.
Larry Levy is Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO. Prior to founding Jodange, Larry was co-founder and CEO of Semagix Group, which sold to Warburg Pincus in February 2006. Semagix received numerous awards, including recognition as "KMWorld's 100 companies that matter in Knowledge Management 2003" and "2003 Information Management Awards" finalist. He was also the founder and CEO of Protégé Holdings, recognized as an “Upside 100” company. In addition, he founded Citria and Delrina Europe. He holds a BCom and BAcc from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and is a chartered accountant CA(SA).
Claire Cardie, PhD, is Co-Founder and Chief Scientist. Dr. Cardie is Professor at Cornell University's Department of Computer Science and is the Charles and Barbara Weiss Director of the Information Science program. Her primary research is in the area of natural language understanding and intelligent text processing, with the goal of developing algorithms and systems that will vastly improve a user's ability to find, absorb, and extract information from online text. She holds a MS and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Computer Science from Yale University.
David Pierce, PhD, is CTO. Dr. Pierce was a principle research scientist at General Dynamics. He was Assistant Professor at the University of Buffalo in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. He holds a MS and PhD in Computer Science from Cornell University and a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Doron Mutsafi is Vice President - Engineering. Prior to joining the Jodange team, he was the co-founder and lead developer at Trifeed Ltd and Textology. He served as Major in the Israeli Defense Force. He holds a BA in economics and logistics from Bar-Ilan University in Israel.
Oran Leiba is Vice President - Application Development. Prior to joining the Jodange team, he was the co-founder and senior developer at Trifeed Ltd. He also served as CFO of Textology Ltd. He holds a M.Sc. in Finance & Accounting from the Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration at Tel-Aviv University and an Honors BA, LL.B from Haifa University.
Veselin Stoyanov is a Senior Engineer. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Computer Science department at Cornell University, supervised by Dr. Claire Cardie. He holds an Honors BS, with Distinction, in Computer Science from the University of Delaware.
